Torn away from a normal Aussie childhood at just 15 years of age, Jordan Anderson was lonely and frightened. And when staff at her new home - the Church of Scientology - allegedly made her work up to 48 hours without sleep and paid her just $30 a week, she had no-one to turn to.
Between 2005 and 2009, Jordan says she endured conditions likened to 'modern-day slavery' but was too scared to tell anyone of her nightmare. Even now, almost three years after she left, she lives with the fact that her big sister Fiona - who is still with the religion - won't talk to her because she defected.
